Lily is finally here!

I have been asked to update you all on the birth of Lily Jane Macbeth. She was born yesterday (Tuesday) at 6:49 pm weighing in at 8 lbs. and 1 oz. She is 19" long and is the most adorable little girl. she has a full head of hair and her hair is about 1 1/4 inches long. Everyone says that she looks like me, how can she go wrong with that? she has extremely long fingers and toes thanks to Heather. she has been doing great and Heather is also doing well.

We are so excited to have this precious little spirit in our home. She has already stolen her daddy's heart. We love her dearly and know that you all will too. I am also sure that Heather will add some more pictures when she gets home.

We made it to the end!

Well I have had a few requests to post a final pregnant picture of me. This is as big as I get! Although my pregnancy did have a lot of discomforts and a few minor complications I'm grateful that it didn't get any worse and that I'm being induced before my due date. I go into the hospital tomorrow (June 24th) first thing in the morning to be induced. Ben and I are so excited to be meeting our little girl and to finally see what she looks like! We will post pictures later this week of Lily, but for now here are the last fat pictures of me in this pregnancy at 39 weeks!

Father's Day

Well, happy belated Father's Day to all you dads out there! Ben and I were hoping that Lily would arrive yesterday so that Ben would be "real dad" for the holiday. She didn't arrive (obviously) but we still had a pretty good day.
Anywhow, Ben and I feel very blessed to have such amazing fathers! As many of you know one of the things that we do best is talking nonstop. Ben and I often just sit and talk for hours when we have the time. One of the topics that we talk about the most is our childhood with our families. I can definitely say that our lives wouldn't be nearly as fun without our dads being there teaching, playing with, and caring for us. We are so grateful for all the time that our dads spent working to support us and also all the time that they spent with us to make that time so memorable! So to both of our dads, we love you!

It's about time!!!

It seems like everyone has a blog these days and so Ben and I decided to finally create our own! Since I'm still waddling around and not able to do much I figured that this is the ideal time for me to finally sit down and do it. So here are a few updates:

  • Ben is currently working full time for the water department of the city of Rexburg while also doing his internship at Heise Hot Springs as Assistant Manager. On the days that he works both (which is most of the time) he is working from 7 AM to 11 PM. I don't know how he's able to do it but I feel so blessed that I have such a hard-working husband.

  • I am currently 37.5 weeks pregnant and I would be MORE than happy to have Lily any day now (preferably the sooner the better but I am trying my best to be patient). My pregnancy has been ahead of schedule the entire time (my official due date is June 30th) and so my doctor has said that he will have me induced a week early if I haven't gone into labor by then.

We will try to keep this blog updated with anything exciting that happens. For now here's a picture of me at 36 weeks!
